Precision (Clarity) of consciousness

Message of Shambhala by Nicholas Roerich. 19331. "You need to learn to think clearly and benevolently every day." [Realm of Light by Nicholas Roerich]

2. "Clarity of thought and expression should be among the qualities of an Agni Yogi. Few are those who strive to think clearly… How many of the mysteries surrounding misfortune could be explained as consequences of tangled thinking! Everything strives to clarity." [Heart, 447]

3. "Short, clear, complete thoughts will be expressed in a short, clear and clean speech. You can constantly practice this. ...You can speak in such a way that there is not a single superfluous word. ...The clarity of consciousness is expressed in a minted thought. A faceted gemstone is like a complete, precise thought. ... Some take the simplicity and ease of presenting thoughts for the lack of depth in them. But if they only knew how much experience and suffering there is on the edge of a chiseled-beautiful thought." [Facets of Agni Yoga 1954, 11]

4. "Wavering of thought and feeling brings about extreme ugliness. Understand this word in its true sense. Ugliness comes from a loss of clarity and an immersion in chaotic refuse. Ignorant people may fear losing freedom of thought, not understanding that incoherent wavering is not freedom." [Supermundane, 909]

5. "Riddance from delay is accomplished by two particular external qualities in life: precision in labor, and vigilance. Precision in labor must be developed in each worker. A complete instantaneous transfer of attention allows any moment of labor to crystallize. Through discipline it is possible to attain a clear-cut isolation of each thought. The leaps of bloated rabbits are ineffective." [New Era Community, 152]

6. "How can you search when you don't know what? You know where you are going, so you know what you want, so you can leave uncertainty and give your call or request clarity and precision. The Higher World is taken by force. Make an effort. When the muslin is wet, when there is no battering ram of clearly realized aspiration, there can be no answer. ...It is necessary to clearly desire, and clearly know, and clearly strive. ...Clarity and chiseled precision of thought is the basis of success." [Facets of Agni Yoga 1952, 44]

7. "Among the reasons why a task went successfully or failed, the condition of the consciousness occupies no small place. Even a slight blockage or carelessness in striving alters the result." [Heart, 275]

8. "Most consciousnesses are in an amorphous state. The lack of certainty in everything generates amorphousness. People don't know why they live, where they go, what they want… People run limply on the waves of Tamas, like a straw in the sea. The energies of such a microcosm, like particles in an electrolyte solution, move in complete disorder wherever they want. Only the fiery current of the spirit can give them direction. ... It is necessary to regulate the movement of the energies of the microcosm with the fire of the spirit, like a current of electricity touching an electrolyte, with the fiery sword of the will. It is necessary to replace the unformed, vague, amorphous state of consciousness with clear crystal facets. The fire collected in a crystal is indestructible and does not depend on external conditions." [Facets of Agni Yoga 1952, 194]

9. "We call thought winged, because it can fly everywhere and penetrate everywhere. Consciousness rushes on the wings of thought and reaches the desired goal. Thought must learn to sharpen and strengthen the clarity of form. The arrow is a symbol of thought. Wet muslin will not fly into space, but a clear thought, like an arrow, pierces the calling distances." [Facets of Agni Yoga 1956, 342]
